Day 1Part A Brisbane to Los Angeles 19.2.24

Our final morning with the family.  Mark and I took Seth and Oliver to school and pottered around at the house with Rachel and the twins.

It started raining as we were about to leave for the airport but thankfully it didn't catch us until we were halfway to Brissie. There was a bit of roadworks and we found ourselves in the wrong lane and had to do a big blocky to get to Andrew's parking. We have way more time than we need so it was a scenic detour!

Our flight leaves at 10pm but we arrive in LA at 5.30pm the same day 🤭

Our first visit to the Qantas lounge. Cheers to an amazing adventure. We've eaten well and plentiful.  Our flight has been delayed an hour.

Bit of a crappy photo but it's looks really pretty outside. 

Our new boarding time is 10.15pm (which it is as i type) and there's still no plane 🤷‍♀️ Apparently they're going to tow a plane over from the domestic terminal. Thankfully the flight crew have arrived. The plane will still have to be cleaned, loaded and go through a security check.

Finally we have a plane.

Finally after a 100 minute delay we are on board and awaiting departure 🛫.
