After a 100 minute delay we were finally departing at 11.40pm instead of 10pm. I managed to get an email off to our driver who was picking us up at the airport advising of our late arrival.
5.53pm was the 1st time we could open the blinds. In my Qantas pyjama top as I got a bit chilly in my tshirt. Forgot I had it on and wore it out of the plane 🤦♀️
6.14pm, It got dark very quick.
It was a very eventful experience and I will go into detail when we find food and coffee.
It has been raining since before we landed. It took Qantas forever to unload the luggage and I ended up running outside to find the driver so he'd wait. I wasn't able to make a phone connection until I got out in the wet with the most hectic scene I have ever seen. Cars were everywhere, tooting and honking. It was chaos. Then I got an email come through saying they had cancelled my car as they didn't have a driver. I was very peeved as it was booked and paid for in November and confirmed just 24hrs prior.
Some guy spotted us stressing out and offered to drive us. Silly us thought he was a uber driver because when I asked how much he looked up on the app and gave me a price $150 dearer than the other company. I refused and he bartered and we kept saying no until he brought his price down. Still ended up costing more but the stress was over, so we thought.
We don't think he was any sort of uber driver just a guy trying to make money. He drove pretty fast in the rain, English was definitely not his first language and uses his phone while driving 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. Anyway we got to our motel in Anaheim and settled in then went walking in the rain looking for coffee and something light to eat. Everything was closed or closing except for a burger place we found. They were pretty good, the beef was chargrilled.
We've called it quits for the night and going to relax and try and sleep as we have a big day tomorrow at Disneyland and it's supposed to rain again.
Today's temperature got to 15°c, our room was chilly so we put the heater on for a wee bit. We walked 2.6kms around town.
If you read all that then you're a legend.
Tomorrow will be bigger and better.

Suspense and intrigue ...
