Day 35. Alliance, Nebraska. 24.3.24

We woke to a foggy -2° this morning. We watched the weather report while having breakfast and it's changed for the worse again. We were heading east towards the Nebraska capital, Lincoln, but there's a blizzard warning out. So we will stay put for the day.

We ducked out to grab some food for 2 days just incase we don't leave tomorrow. 

Good thing we don't have to be in Kansas City until 2/4. It's only 950 kms direct from here but we did have a few things planned along the way. It looks like most of the USA has had, are having or about to have severe weather from snow, floods and blizzards.

Our motel has new owners who are in the process of renovating. We were lucky to get a newly refurbished room. It's very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. 

We braved the weather (1° feels like -4) for a short walk to stretch the legs. 

5 pm and it's-3° and snowing. 

Sat in the upstairs lounge with a cuppa so I could watch the snow falling.
