Day 44. Kansas City. 2.4.24

Today we crossed the state line from Missouri into the state of  Kansas to go to the Botanical Gardens. I was very happy to see things flowering and my favourite flower, the Jonquil, is in abundance.

Some of the birds we saw.
Woodpecker feeding.

This was by far the prettiest garden we've been to so far, admittedly it is now spring so that's an advantage. I could have stayed for another hour or 2 but Mark had had enough so we headed off to the Marriott Hotel at the Kansas City International Airport. Tomorrow we are flying to New York.

Our room for the night.
I'm watching the planes take off out the window as I blog. Mark has gone to drop the rental car off.

Today's temperatures were 4-11°

Today we drove 67 miles/108 kms. It felt like a lot more as it was through the city, on busy hwys, in roadworks, with pot holes and a bit of rain. Also the car GPS decided it wouldn't talk to our phone 🤦‍♀️

The wind died down a bit so we decided to take another stroll at sunset.
