Day 21 Las Vegas 10.3.24

 Much more pleasant temperature to wake up to this morning. Daylight saving kicked in today so now we have to put our clocks forward an hour again.

6.47am.

We've packed up early and are heading down the road to do a tour of Hoover Dam. This afternoon we plan to head to Vegas for 2 nights.

We watched a diorama show on where the Colorado River was damed. 

Excalibur Hotel & Casino, where we have chosen to stay because you can't take the child out of an early childhood educator 🤣

We were planning on having a look around in the car and getting our bearings but found ourselves in the wrong lane and couldn't move over. We ended up in Caesars Palace car park 🤦‍♀️ not where we wanted to be but couldn't find any signs to say no parking or a parking fee. So we decided to leave the car there and go on foot.

We went inside Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino and was totally amazed.

Soooo many shops and restaurants and soooo much noise.

Came across a short, freebie show at Caesars Palace by accident.

I got in to trouble for taking a video and not putting money in the bucket first.

Finally out on the street.

Bellagio Casino and Hotel had a water display in time to an opera song.

Finally we found our hotel.

Today the weather has been perfect,  no coats needed and I even got down to short sleeves for a while. 

Today we travelled 45 miles, about 72 kms
