Up and in the breakfast room at 7am, as it opened, this morning as we wanted to be at the National Park as close to 8am as possible. Apparently there's only 150 car parks and it fills up quickly. It's spring break here so lots of holiday makers. It was a fresh 6°.
The end of our trail.
Others were continuing on down the river in waterproof gear. The water is apparently chest deep in places at the moment. It's called the Narrows as the canyon gets really narrow. We turned around and headed back.
Ferns growing on the rocks.
After the River walk we jumped back on the bus to the Zion Lodge for morning tea.
A cup of tea and a muffin then we headed off to do the Grotto trail.
Absolutely no way would I tackle this hike.
We decided to continue on and walk to the 3 Emerald pools.
Lower Emeral pool.
Middle Emerald pools.
Over the top of a small waterfall.
The bridge back to the Lodge was closed so we walked back the same way we came. This was classed as a moderate trail so a fair bit of rock climbing in places.
We saw a few deer 🦌
Views on the drive back.
Zion fort looks interesting.
The clouds were swirling around the mountains on our evening hunt for dinner.

As you can see by the huge amount of photos we have had another wonderful day in nature. The photos don't do justice to the amazing views. We plan to go back and do a couple more walks tomorrow. We walked about 15 kms today.
The top temp today was 13°.
