Day 29. Fort Collins, Colorado 18.3.24

My Little snowman survived the night. Might have something to do with the fact that it was -4° feels like -7 at 7am.

We headed off in the direction of Denver this morning with no real plan of where we were stopping.
We detoured to see some old Stagecoach ruins.

The snow was so thick and soft that I ended up almost knee deep so gave up on trying to read the plaques.

Driving through Rawlins.

Stopped for our first coffee for the day but ended up sitting in the car. It was 2.7°, feels like -1.1. Over coffee we decided to head to Cheyenne,  capital of Wyoming.

This was a fake Elk that got me excited until we realised he was cut from steel.

Slow steady climbing today to an elevation of  8640ft at Sherman Summit. Mount Kosciuszko is 7310ft.
We crossed the Continental Divide in Buford, Wyoming.

Parked our car and off we toddled on foot.

He's up to no good,  check out his right hand.

We spent quite a bit of time checking out the State Museum.

Men's moccasins,  Cheyenne tribe.

Good bye Wyoming
Hello Colorado.  Our 6th US state.
