Day 34. Alliance, Nebraska. 23.3.24

Woke to a very windy -5° this morning. After a leisurely breakfast we went for a drive to carhenge. A full size replica of England's Stonehenge except this one is made from old cars.

It was so cold, -3° feels like -11°, that we only stayed long enough to almost run through and take a few photos. 

We headed back through town looking for a nice coffee,  even tried McDonalds, but no luck. We don't enjoy the American version of brewed coffee. 

After we defrosted and chatted with the staff we headed off to Starbucks as the coffee shop isn't open on the weekend.  We also visited the military museum while out and about. 

Went to have a look at the central park water fountain as the online photos looked good but...

Like a lot of other things on this trip it's closed for the winter season. 

We made the most of the rise in temperature to 3° (feels like -1) and went for a short walk around the lake. The windy was icy and strong so we did the shortest route possible. 

Decided to go to see a movie tonight. Not a lot to choose from.

It was as expected...predictable with a little humour.
