Day 46. NYC. 4.4.24

Rained during the night and the temperature dropped to 3°

Exploring NYC today on foot.

Times Square. 

After Bryant Park we went to the New York Library.  It was huge and aesthetically beautiful. 

Next we went off looking for Grand Central Station and the Chrysler Building. 

Scary crossing roads around here. Pedestrians just cross when it suits.

Inside the Chrysler Building. Only allowed in the foyer.

Thanks to Google maps having a 📸 symbol I got a good pic of the Chrysler Building. 

Helmsley Building, a 35 story sky scraper on Park Avenue was built in 1929.

The not so pretty back side of older buildings. 

St Mary's Church. 

Back in Times Square. There were cars honking, loud people,  cold winds blowing and all sorts of other sensory overloading.

All sorts of characters roaming the streets, Happy to pose with you for a few $$

Mark had a bit of a snooze while I went back to Times Square souvenir hunting.

Lots of 'spottos' there for the grand kids. 

Home to do some blogging before heading out to find some dinner.

We were going to Stardust but at 5.30 the queue was already over 50m long.

So we chose Applebee's which was also filling up fast.

Our side salads were almost enough on their own.

Stopped to look around the 3 story M&M shop. Not as good as the Las Vegas one.

Back to check out the bus terminal for our trip to Niagara Falls on Monday. 

The cyclists just kept coming even as we were trying to cross the road with the lights. They don't stop for red lights 🤦‍♀️

Strava is not liking NY and is being weird. We've walked 11kms according to my step counter.
