For those who heard about the 4.8 magnitude earthquake this morning we're fine. We heard about it but felt nothing while walking around downtown NYC.
We bought a 3 day pass on a hop on/hop off bus so we could explore a bigger area.1st stop, Empire State Building (you can't see the top from here sadly) & Madison Square Park below.21st President, Chester Arthur.

Flatiron under repair.
Pic from Wikipedia. The Flatiron (Flat iron) is a triangular 22 story, 285 foot tall building which was built in 1902. The name comes from it's triangular shape which looks like an old cast iron clothes iron.

The queue to go into the museum was 6 deep so we decided not to go in. The wind was icy cold and we had limited time to get back on the bus.

We had an hour or 2 off and then did a night tour. We rugged up and sat up the top of the bus again but this time it had a plastic roof to stop most of the cold wind.
Should have had a warning about having squillions of photos.
Today's top temperature was 9°c.
We walked 10kms.
