We had a beautiful view from the breakfast room today. The sun is shining. Yesterday we didn't realise just how many buildings there were with low visibility from the rain.
We are off on tour.
As we head out of Istanbul.Comfort stop with views of the Marmara Sea.
30 people on the tour plus 3 crew. The first time I've come across a squat toilet.
Above pic of the Çanakkle Bridge from Google. We did cross this bridge.
We arrived in Çanakkle and deposited our gear then headed out on foot for a guided tour of the area. We are right near the Dardanelle Strait where way too many people were killed on both sides of the war.
A little reminder of home.
Visited the Turkish Naval Museum.
We went inside the submarine for a look.
The sun came back out shortly.

The museum area also had 1 of the forts on the Dardanelle Strait where the British and French attempted, unsuccessfully, to blast their way through in an attempt to get to Istanbul.
It has been very interesting hearing and seeing the story from both sides.
Lots of cargo and fishing ships around.
On the wall of our elevator.
Sunset over the Dardanelles.
The sunset wasn't as spectacular as we thought it would be but we had a pleasant stroll by the water anyway.
Today's weather started out lovely but as soon as we departed Istanbul it started raining and continued on and off all day.
Top temp got up to 18°
Today we walked 8 kms.
