We are off on a tour of Istanbul this morning with our group.
Our view out the breakfast room window. Going to be wet and cool all day.
We joined a very long queue in the rain to view inside of the Blue Mosque.
Turkish bath house ⬇️
'Glass cups' on the dome roof allows extra light into the bath house.
The entrance to the Topkapi Palace is guarded.
Looking across to the Asian side of Istanbul.
Emerald dagger.
Bridge across to the Asian side.
Istanbul has a population of 16 million people.
Our lunch restaurant. 6 small floors, great views, delicious food and quick service considering how many people were there.
Apparently James Bond 007 rode his motorcycle across this roof in one of his movies.
We wandered through the Bazaar again for a few minutes but it was loud, busy and the smell from Spices etc were giving me a headache so we headed back to the hotel.
Today we walked about 9kms.
The weather was cold, wet, windy with a touch of sunshine. Temperature range was 11-15°.
Tomorrow we head off on our journey in the footsteps of the Anzacs.
