We are now both sick and unfortunately I slept through part of the services and wasn't well enough to walk the 7 kms climb up to the other services so had to get on the shuttle bus with those who needed assistance.
We arrived around midnight and found a spot to sit on the grass. We had a few plastic sheets to sit on so spread out as much as we could to try to keep a little distance from everyone else.
We managed a few naps before dawn. Unfortunately with my head in a muddle I took more antihistamine than I should have and no panadol 🤦♀️
The bagpipes were hauntingly? beautiful.

Didgeridoo at Lone Pine. I managed to get a snippet of this before falling asleep. I was so embarrassed and cross at myself but I just couldn't keep upright any longer.
Due to my being unwell some of the photos above were taken by others on our tour and shared with the group to use.
The weather was pretty good thankfully. It got down to 11° overnight and the grass was wet from the dew. Too much cloud cover to see the sunrise but it did shine bright later in the morning.
We got back to our hotel just before 4pm and I was in bed and asleep 10 minutes later. Woke at 9pm, fell straight back to sleep and woke at 6am the next morning.
