Day 68. Istanbul, Türkiye. 26.4.24

After 14hrs sleep we have both woken feeling a little better but very annoyed we were sick for the one event this whole 3 month trip was about. Right or wrong, we chose to go anyway.  It was most likely we got sick from one of the few who were coughing on our tour at the beginning. We kept to ourselves as much as possible. 

Today we are heading back to Istanbul. We have a dinner cruise on the Bosphorus River.

Bit hard getting photos on the bus today.

Trip was uneventful and we spent the afternoon resting up for the finale tonight. 

Party boat Central.

The left hand side was taken up by Aussies and some Kiwis. The rest of the boat were from the other countries here to remember the fallen.

Lots of local entertainment. 

We didn't return to our room until 1.30am so blog will have to wait 😴 

Each country represented on the boat was played a song and asked to dance. The Aussies rose to the chant of Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi and danced to We come from a land down under. The floor was packed and a congo line weaved in and out. 

We sat up the back, away from the action but under the speaker 🔊 

This girl was incredible to watch, she has great skill.

It was a bit harder to get a video of the men as they moved around very fast.

It was a great way to end the tour and everyone had a wonderful time. We topped it off with a drink at the hotel bar before heading to bed.
