Today we move on to the much anticipated wonders of Utah. We're staying at a small town called Hurricane, 30kms from Zion National Park.
Farewell Excalibur.
We have changed our 'plan' to go back to Flagstaff then head north to Utah. Google says it's quicker if we just head north east from Vegas.
The scenery was stunning, it was like we were driving through the mountains and canyons. Just loved it.

We drove through Arizona for a short while to get to Utah.
Our elevation was at 2000 feet.
Woohoo, we made it to our 4th state of the trip. The clouds were down pretty low.

Coming into the town of St George. As it was 1.30pm and all we had eaten was half a muesli bar each we decided to find somewhere for lunch.
Crepes with bacon, spinach, tomato, avocado and a poached egg hit the spot nicely.
After a little rest and doing the laundry we explored the main street.
It got down to 10° in Las Vegas overnight and a high of 15° in Hurricane. Even though we had a quieter day today, we still walked 5 kms. Our clocks have moved forward again due to the time difference in Utah. We are now 16 hrs behind Brisbane.
I had a nice hot bath to soak my weary feet before heading to bed.
Today we travelled 150 miles or 240kms.
We have 4 weeks to join the 2 pin points 📍 on the map.

Was that really strawberries, cream and a blackberry served with your savoury crepes? Or was that dessert? Looks like you’re having a great time. Carol
ReplyDeleteIt came with the savoury crepe. Mark ate both fruit bowls!
